01 / The Brief
Creative latitude. A global brand. A local vision.
A rare opportunity — creative latitude to bring a global premium gin brand to life in Australia, independent of the global agency. Bombay Sapphire’s world is one of imagination, craftsmanship and botanical precision. The challenge was translating that into Australian executions that felt unmistakably local while staying true to the brand’s deep blue world.
The Brand
Up to 12 precious botanicals suspended above the spirit in perforated copper baskets during distillation — gently infused with aromatic flavours using the Vapour Infusion process. The original Carterhead stills Tom and Mary, dating from the 1830s.

Independent creative execution for the Australian market — bringing the global brand positioning to life through location-based imagination campaigns.
02 / The Idea
Take real spaces. Transform them through imagination.
We took real Australian locations — a Byron Bay lighthouse at dawn, a Sydney office lift — and asked what imagination could make of them. Each execution stayed in the iconic Bombay Blue. Each one rewarded people for looking twice.

The Byron Bay lighthouse at dawn — already one of Australia’s most atmospheric locations — transformed through the Bombay Sapphire imagination lens. The before and after sit side by side. Hover to see the transformation.

04 / Sydney
The most ordinary space. Transformed.
A lift in a Sydney office block — the most unremarkable of urban spaces — became a moment of pure imagination. Bombay Sapphire blue. Completely unexpected. Completely earned.

05 / Print Campaign
Open the door. Find the imagination inside.
The barn door ad format was used to create a literal reveal — two panels that open from the centre to expose the imagined Bombay Sapphire world inside. The closed state shows the real world. The open state reveals the transformation.

06 / The Brand
Ten botanicals. One unmistakable gin.
From the heat of Moroccan cubeb berries to the spice of West African Grains of Paradise — every botanical chosen to bring its own special something. Uniquely distilled using the Vapour Infusion process in the original Carterhead stills Tom and Mary, dating from the 1830s.
